The wife who jumped into the water hole went to save the husband and died!

The incident took place at Nallur farm in Karkala taluk of Udupi district where a woman, fed up with family quarrel, jumped into the pit and went to save her and her husband also died.

The deceased have been identified as Yashodha and Emmanuel. The couple hails from Yallapur in Uttara Kannada district and settled in Karkala for plantation work.

There was a fight between the couple over a trivial reason. Yashoda was offended by this and jumped into the pit in the garden. Emmanuel, who had gone to save his wife, also drowned in the water.

Both drowned and died. Two little children are orphaned due to the death of the couple. A case has been registered at the Karkala police station.
